Dear Soldiers/Military Personnel, From California, I send my wishes to all of you. I am certain it is not easy and we in the states don't know all of the details of what you are going through on a day to day basis. We might see it on the news in segments, but we do not know the emotional toll it takes on the heart. You certainly must miss your family and friends terribly. I believe that you give eachother strength in your units during your time of need, giving eachother the encouragement to keep moving forward. Keep pulling for one another and supporting eachother, your family over there...I'm sure that you are. In 2004, I lost a childhood friend. We had not seen one another in many years and then my mother saw his picture in the San Jose Mercury news. He entered the military in his 30s, doing what he felt was right after Septeber 11th, entering the Army. Apparently he performed administrative duties, a driver, doing his part as an older enlistee. We lost him and I always wished I could have seen him again to say that I think he grew into a strong man, with principles and the desire to do what he felt was right. He believed in what he was doing and even though it is a huge loss for his family, I am certain they are all proud of him. He was a good man, with a good heart. Know that you are thought of in California and all over the country. Even though people have their own beliefs and philosophies about the war, I know that for most, the support for the troops never goes away. We all love you guys (and ladies) and feel that you are doing what you feel is right, trying day by day to do the best you can, so that you can come home to your families and friends.
